Primary School Bush Day Postponed

Dear Primary families,

We were planning a Bush School Day this coming Friday, with hope that the rain would stop... so we are postponing Bush School until further notice. However, some teachers would still like to get the students outside for short walks in the rain.

In the spirit of best educational practice, with our students health and wellbeing in mind, we would like your support. We would love children to bring to school appropriate wet weather gear if possible.

We are hoping that students can bring raincoats, wet weather pants and waterproof boots. We do not want umbrellas please, as they can be difficult to manage in a group situation.

Please understand that we are not asking for you to purchase new items of outdoor clothing. If you do not have any wet weather clothes for your child/ren, please send them with a spare set of clothes (including shoes) and a plastic bag for wet clothes. We may use modified garbage bags to keep students dry-ish.

If you have spare wet weather clothes that you are able to lend or donate to other students, please do send them in also.

Teachers will take classes outside at their discretion - according to the level of rainfall and the preparedness of all the students.

We think it is worth a try!

Thanks in advance.
