Year 9 Science Excursion

Year 9 spent a day at Penrith Lakes Environment Centre, learning about urban run-off and the strategies that are being employed to clean the water - and to transform this once ugly mining area to a pleasant recreational asset.

After the introduction, the enthusiastic staff gave us a tour through the facility, and the students also did some water testing. They compared the quality at the beginning and end of the process. - The regatta lake's water is virtually drinking water.

It is always a pleasure to take our students on excursion. They are attentive, friendly and interested, and the feedback we got from the centre was a wonderful.

Well done, year 9!
