From the window with a view - week 8, term 3 2017

A Window with a View

In Week 8, our Year 11 and 12 students completed their HSC Trial exams and will now enter their final two weeks of classes for this cycle, the final two weeks of school for our Year 12 students! We are preparing our farewells. Next Friday the examiners come to school and our Music students will perform their HSC Practical Examination components. We have enjoyed their talents for many years, and believe they will approach this task with aplomb.

At the other end of the school, on Saturday morning we were entertained by Kindy, Years 1 and 2 as they presented their concert with song and movement, colour and flair. There is nothing quite like having young children on stage to bring out the performer. Each child responds in a manner that is unique to their personality, and scanning the group becomes an absolute delight for the audience. We were thoroughly entertained, and owe our thanks to the children and their teachers. In the lead-up to a performance you never quite know if it will come together, and the teachers hold that tension until the final moments.  Thank you all for your love and care.

It is time for us to celebrate further. This week we have published the date for our 40th Birthday on facebook, and are calling for people to spread the word. So for now, please place this event onto your calendar:

Korowal’s 40th  Birthday Celebration

Saturday 25th November from 11.00am - 3.00pm.

RSVP’s will be issued closer to the date

If you are interested in assisting with the organisation of this event, or offering ideas, please email info@korowal.nsw.edu.au  .  We have had over 1600 hits on facebook and a lot of interest generated over this reunion!

Unfortunately, last week we again had many people out with sickness. Please take care as we are in the midst of further bugs, and keep your children home if they are sick.

May you have an enjoyable week.

Barb
