Already, Week 5 has passed us by, but not before the students enjoyed their Primary Swimming Carnival. We continue to welcome parent volunteers for reading in K,1 and 2 and thank all parents for assisting us to ease traffic congestion by staggering arrival and pick up times.
We have had a very social week at Korowal in Week 4.
In Week 3 we have began to settle into rhythm of the term. The canteen is running smoothly, transport arrangements are steadying and all but one of our class meetings have been held. Year 9 families will have their meeting this coming Monday evening.
Welcome back to Korowal for 2018! We have been so fortunate to have a Summer free of major fires, and I wish to thank our Rural and Town Fire Brigades and National Parks workers for keeping us safe to date. Their efforts on the recent lightning strikes was remarkable!
At the end of Week 6, the end of the year will be quickly upon us, so let’s grab the highlights of the past week and declare those imminent.
The school was certainly quieter this week. Year 8 were on camp, Year 10 were sitting exams, the final HSC exams were taken, and we held pupil free days for high school. We have been preparing for the change in academic years in Week 4 and are now ready to welcome our high school students into their new years on Monday, when Year 7 becomes Year 8, and so on.
