In Week 8, our Year 11 and 12 students completed their HSC Trial exams and will now enter their final two weeks of classes for this cycle, the final two weeks of school for our Year 12 students! We are preparing our farewells. Next Friday the examiners come to school and our Music students will perform their HSC Practical Examination components. We have enjoyed their talents for many years, and believe they will approach this task with aplomb.[Read More...]

At this point we again comment that the year is flying. Our Year 11 and 12 students have their trial exams over the coming week, and then Year 12, their families and the School, will celebrate their Graduation at a Ceremony on Thursday 21st September. From the window with a view - week 5, term 3 2017

We began Week 5 with a walk around the school. All classes toured the rooms and observed the displays of work still on exhibit from our Open Day. It certainly demonstrated a wonderful progression of skill and ability. Deep satisfaction lingered from the success of the events of Saturday. Mel is yet to finalise the accounts from the Fair as we receive the last receipts, so we will let you know how we will let you know how we fared financially next week. All of the raffles have been drawn and Lisa Ferguson will publish the winners shortly.

From the window with a view - week 3, term 3 2017

As we completed Week 3 we entered into the exciting days of preparations for the Fair and Open Day. Posters have gone up around our school and local shopping centres, and banners are hanging along highway. Kindy parents came together on Thursday afternoon to create craft resources for their stall, and the buzz was evident. We are now entering into our final countdown before opening the school to our broader community on Saturday 12th August, so let’s enjoy the time together.

From the window with a view - week 2, term 3 2017

In Week 2 we welcomed students and teachers from our sister school, Hangzhou 3rd District Primary School in China. What an exhilarating experience it was for all. From the moment that the visitors walked up the path and across the lawn they commented, ‘this school is a park’. Throughout their stay they were mesmerised by the sound of the cockatoos, the blue of the sky, the quality of air, the fact that classes could be run while sitting on the floor, and that they didn’t need to evacuate when they saw smoke from the fire pit on bush day, or the student run b-b-q lunch. We are now looking forward to our students visiting their school sometime in the future, as the students really enjoyed the friendship and cultural exchanges.[Read More...]

Welcome back to school for the start of Term 3. We hope that you had a joyous time together over the holiday period. This is the final term for our Year 12 students and we offer them our support and confidence as they prepare for their final assessments and exams. Already this week, Year 6 have been to and returned from their four- day camp to Canberra with Amanda and Andrew. No doubt they have exciting stories to tell! Time elapses in a blink so let’s make sure we take a moment to enjoy the weeks that have passed and plan for our coming events.[Read More...]
