From the window with a view - week 3, term 3 2017


As we completed Week 3 we entered into the exciting days of preparations for the Fair and Open Day. Posters have gone up around our school and local shopping centres, and banners are hanging along highway. Kindy parents came together on Thursday afternoon to create craft resources for their stall, and the buzz was evident. We are now entering into our final countdown before opening the school to our broader community on Saturday 12th August, so let’s enjoy the time together.

From the window with a view - week 2, term 3 2017


In Week 2 we welcomed students and teachers from our sister school, Hangzhou 3rd District Primary School in China. What an exhilarating experience it was for all. From the moment that the visitors walked up the path and across the lawn they commented, ‘this school is a park’. Throughout their stay they were mesmerised by the sound of the cockatoos, the blue of the sky, the quality of air, the fact that classes could be run while sitting on the floor, and that they didn’t need to evacuate when they saw smoke from the fire pit on bush day, or the student run b-b-q lunch. We are now looking forward to our students visiting their school sometime in the future, as the students really enjoyed the friendship and cultural exchanges.[Read More...]
