As the HSC progresses we traditionally have Winter Holiday Workshops over the three week break. Please find the attached workshop schedule for Year 11 and 12 students.
These are intended to provide focussed attention to essential course work, and immersion for practicals. They are conducted in the first week of the school holidays, coming soon. We accentuate the importance of the students having a holiday in the latter 2 weeks, however three weeks cuts deeply into the time allocations for HSC subjects.
Business Studies will not be holding a workshop as they recently attended a day of immersion.
It is important that all students attend these sessions.

In week 5, and throughout this term, we have been fortunate that our fabulous sports program has not been washed. The sun shone upon us all at the Huff and Puff Gala Day on Tuesday. Whether in primary golf clinic or boxing, cross fit, athletics and skate boarding in high school, the students are being challenged to develop physical skills and thinking routines outside of their regular fields. Kizz has developed a PE program full of variety and fun.
Commencing at the beginning of Semester 2, and continuing until the end of Term 3, Year 9 students will undertake a field study project for one hour per week.
A reminder that the Pathways Information Evening is on Tuesday 30th May from 7pm in G1. We will begin the conversation about requirements for the HSC, how Pathways works and subjects on offer. As there is a focus on subject choices we would encourage you to bring your child along.
We look forward to seeing you there.
We'd like to invite all interested Korowal Parents & Carers to attend a P&F Scoping Meeting on Thursday 8th June, at 6.30 for 7.00pm start.
Please be advised that the rescheduled 2017 Korowal School Photo Day is now confirmed for Friday 9th June 2017. It will be captured by Debbie Fear Photography.
Call out for volunteers and donations to help with fundraising. Funds raised will help support Korowal student, Trevor Zadro Jones and his family with medical bills and expenses relating to Trev's chest surgery.
As we end Week 4, Korowal and our connections have had an illustrious week. We were proudly entertained by three of our recent graduates who performed and wrote for the production of ‘Breaking Bread’ at Wentworth falls School of Arts last weekend. Following on from their tertiary drama studies, Jade Fuda, Aeva O’Dea and Olivia O’Flynn have developed into fine professional theatre practitioners. Then this week, the preview of ‘Cul de Sac’ was shown at the Fairmont. Michael Joy, an alumni parent, has been working on this pilot for 3 years. Jas Ryan (Year 11) and Helena Zadro Jones (Year 12), are both in this film. The performances, production, filming, cinematography, design, sound/music, and locations are beautiful, honest and hauntingly evocative. Michael deserves to be pleased as punch! So too do Jas and Helena!
