Korowal School is a non-profit company incorporated in NSW. Parents may elect to become voting members of the Company when they enrol their child. The governing body of the School is the Korowal School Council.
The Council is elected annually and is composed of 50% parents and 50% teachers. All decisions require a 70% majority. This unique arrangement promotes transparency and democracy, as well as encouraging a consensual and co-operative relationship between parents and teachers.
Parents and teachers are encouraged to take an interest in school government by standing in School Council elections. All School Council meetings are open to parents and teachers.
