Korowal School governance

Korowal is governed by a single School Council, made up of equal numbers of teachers and parents. This allows for the consensual and efficient operation of the school, both administratively and educationally, and encourages a constructive partnership between parents and teachers.

Current School Council members are Rosemary Dillon (chair); Mick Barrett, Annie Carment, Richard Elkin and Debra Keenahan (parents); Barbara Fitzgerald, Steve Garthwin, Nancy Oosterhoff, Mark Thomas, and Kath Veel (teachers).

The daily running of the school is in the hands of the School Co-ordinator and the Executive. The Co-ordinator is effectively the school's Chief Executive Officer and reports to the Council. Our current Co-ordinator is Mark Thomas, a long-time teacher at the school.

The Executive consists of the School Co-ordinator, as well as primary school and high school co-ordinators: Nancy Oosterhoff, Barbara Fitzgerald and Steve Garthwin. Co-ordinators can be contacted via the school office on 02 47587466
