Pathways HSC curriculum

Korowal’s emphasis on immersion in a subject area prepares students for our “pathways” approach to H.S.C. study.

Year 11 and 12 students at Korowal undertake their H.S.C in two stages, completing half of their subjects, and half of their exams, in each year. It is also possible to study part-time, in which case students spread their study over three or more years. A single subject approach is necessitated by external requirements.

Korowal offers a range of courses developed by the Board of Studies, including Standard and Advanced English, General, 2 Unit and Extension Mathematics, Modern History, Society and Culture, Studies of Religion, Drama, Music, Visual Arts, Information Processes and Technology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, French, and English as a Second Language. Some students expand this range through the Open High School, and vocational courses offered by TAFE.

Korowal Pathways HSC students enjoy a collegiate atmosphere.
