Students come to Korowal for a variety of reasons. It is a beautiful physical environment with old buildings and rambling grounds filled with colour and an air of possibility. It is a happy school. Lyrebirds and wallabies enjoy our grounds.

Primary Students
In primary, parents may choose us for the gentle introduction to formal learning, for our holistic approach that develops social, emotional and academic understanding, for the integrated programs and the sense of wonder created within the classrooms and grounds. Some come for the singing, music and art, and the beauty of the work produced by children; some for the bush school experiences and the healthy canteen. Many come for the shared values held by parents and educators, and the quality of teaching.

High School Students
In high school, the attraction for students is often the look and feel of the school, including the fact they are not required to appear uniformed, and that they can form strong relationships with their teachers. In addition to this, families choosing Korowal for high school like the vertical integration of elective subjects, the size of classes and the personal attention and flexible learning negotiations. They appreciate that students are encouraged to understand their learning style and form goals, ask questions that receive answers or which stimulate further inquiry, and spend time developing thinking processes. They like that the rules are reasonable and that consequences for behaviour are understood. Friendships are across year groups and difference is valued.

Pathways Students
Families are attracted to our senior years Pathways method of HSC delivery. They are attracted by our talented teaching staff and know that the students will be encouraged and challenged to go as far as they can for their own gratification, for the experience, not for a ranking. They know we care.
